Service Packs contain important fixes delivered between Technology Levels. 6100-05-01 is Service Pack 1 for the 6100-05 Technology Level.

Ordering

Order APAR IZ74074 to receive the 6100-05-01 Service Pack.

This package is intended for use on AIX 6.1 with the 6100-05 Technology Level only, and should be ordered using service level 610005.

Installation

To install selected updates from this package, use the command:

	smit update_by_fix

To install all updates from this package that apply to installed filesets on your system, use the command:

	smit update_all

The recommended procedure is to install all updates from this package.

Determining if 6100-05-01 is Installed

This is a packaging APAR only. It will not appear in the list of APARs on the SMIT Update Software by Fix (APAR) panel, nor will the instfix command show this APAR as being installed after the updates delivered by this package are installed.

To determine if the 6100-05-01 Service Pack is installed, use the command:

oslevel -s

The output should indicate 6100-05-01-1016.
